Product Description

Purpose

It is mainly used in industries such as metallurgy and construction to transport high-temperature materials such as sintered ore, coke, and cement clinker. The material temperature should not exceed 800 ℃, and the surface temperature should not exceed 220 ℃. Features: The cover layer is made of EPDM rubber, and the skeleton material is made of domestically used high-temperature resistant canvas. The unique formula design solves the key problems of high saturation, poor adhesion, and low interlayer adhesion of EPDM rubber. It has the characteristics of light weight, long lifespan (about 2-4 times), and good heat resistance.
Implementing the standard of "General purpose fabric core conveyor belts with rubber or plastic covering", this standard adopts the international standard draft ISO/FDIS14890-1999 standard.

High temperature resistant steel mesh conveyor belt is made of steel wires woven vertically and horizontally. The surface of the steel mesh is galvanized or copper plated, and the lower surface of the steel mesh is covered with a rubber layer. During the transportation of high-temperature materials, the overall surface does not peel off, and its performance is more reliable than layered heat-resistant conveyor belts.

Key Features

This type of conveyor belt is mainly used in industries such as metallurgy, building materials, casting, coking, and chemical engineering to transport high-temperature solid materials such as sintered ore, coke, cement, and fertilizers, with specified heat resistance performance. The heat resistance and service life of heat-resistant conveyor belts mainly depend on the heat resistance of the covering layer and the belt core. Generally, rubber with good heat resistance such as styrene butadiene rubber, butyl rubber, ethylene propylene rubber, etc. are used as the main rubber material, and polyester cotton and polyester canvas with heat resistance and heat shrinkage shrinkage are used as the core.
Heat resistant conveyor belts are divided into four levels according to different test temperatures. T1: Test temperature that can withstand heat not exceeding 100 ℃; T2: Test temperature that can withstand heat not exceeding 125 ℃; T3: Can withstand a test temperature not exceeding 150 ℃; T4: Can withstand a test temperature of no more than 175 ℃.
Example of tape marking: 200 1200 EP 5 1000 8+3 T2 indicates that the tape has a length of 200m, a width of 1200mm, a core of EP canvas with five layers, a strength specification of 1000N/mm, and upper and lower cover layer thicknesses of 8mm and 3mm respectively. The cover layer can withstand a test temperature of no more than 125 ℃. This type of product complies with the national standard GB/T 20021-2005 "Canvas Heat resistant Conveyor Belt".
In order to meet higher operating temperatures, some manufacturers have also developed heat-resistant conveyor belts that can withstand higher temperature levels and high-temperature conveyor belts that can withstand burning. Generally, flame retardant insulation agents, anti ablation agents, thermal conductivity agents, etc. are added to the cover layer rubber to improve the high-temperature and anti ablation properties of the tape.

Frequently Asked Questions

What materials are used to construct heat-resistant conveyor belts?

These belts feature cover layers made of heat-resistant rubber such as EPDM, styrene butadiene, or butyl rubber. The internal skeleton (core) is constructed from layers of high-temperature resistant canvas, polyester cotton cloth, polyester canvas, or vertically and horizontally woven steel wire mesh.

What are the different types of heat-resistant conveyor belts based on temperature?

They are classified into five main types: Type I (T1) for test temps up to 100℃, Type II (T2) up to 125℃, Type III (T3) up to 150℃, Type IV (T4) up to 175℃ (with short-term peaks up to 400℃ depending on the standard), and Type V (T5) which can withstand test temperatures up to 240℃ and short-term operation up to 600℃.

Which industries commonly utilize these conveyor belts?

They are primarily utilized in heavy-duty industrial sectors including metallurgy, construction, building materials, casting, coking, and chemical engineering. They transport hot materials like sintered ore, coke, cement, slag, and hot castings.

What regulatory standards do these belts comply with?

The products comply with national and international standards including HG2297-92, GB/T20021-2005 (for canvas heat-resistant conveyor belts), and the international standard draft ISO/FDIS14890-1999.

How are the specifications of a heat-resistant conveyor belt marked?

They follow standard markings. For example, "200 1200 EP 5 1000 8+3 T2" indicates a belt that is 200m long, 1200mm wide, with a 5-layer EP canvas core, 1000N/mm strength, 8mm top cover, 3mm bottom cover, and a T2 rating (withstanding up to 125℃ test temperatures).

What is the advantage of a high-temperature steel mesh conveyor belt?

The high-temperature steel mesh conveyor belt is woven vertically and horizontally with galvanized or copper-plated steel wire, covered by a rubber layer. During the transportation of high-temperature materials, the overall surface does not peel off, rendering its performance more reliable than layered heat-resistant conveyor belts.
